SUPERIOR RODENT & RUST PROTECTION

NHOU® MOUSE-OUT

NHOU® MOUSE-OUT gives long-lasting rodent-deterrent to cars, trucks, RVs and HVAC equipment, while also preventing rust. Infused with real peppermint essential oil and predator scent undetectable by humans, it helps deter rodents in four ways: scent, taste, touch and predatory fear. The formula can be sprayed directly on all metals, wiring, plastics, paints and electrical equipment. In third-party lab testing, MOUSE-OUT achieved an unprecedented 92% effectiveness rating for rodent deterrence.

Why Mice Love Today's Vehicles

Modern vehicles are more susceptible to rodent damage than ever before. To meet stringent EPA requirements, wiring harness are coated in soy-based plastic. Of course, soy is a food for mice—with its sweet scent that attracts them into your vehicle where they nest. A single vehicle contains hundreds of feet of soy-based wiring, and just one chewed wire can prevent your vehicle from starting and cost thousands of dollars to repair. NHOU MOUSE OUT was tested by a third party lab and achieved an unprecedented 92% effectiveness rating at repelling mice.

Protecting Your RV from Rodent Infestation

RVs are often stored for months during off-seasons, providing an ideal haven for rodents—a cozy shelter and easy access to wires, insulation and upholstery. NHOU Mouse Out is specifically designed to protect RVs from rodent infestations by deterring mice in four ways: taste, touch, scent and predatory fear from the infused predator scent undetectable by humans. The non-toxic formula is safe for use inside and around your RV, ensuring effective prevention. Additionally, NHOU Mouse Out doesn’t just protect against pests—it also shields your RV from rust. The product’s corrosion inhibitors prevent moisture-related rust from forming on the vehicle’s undercarriage and metal components during long storage periods, offering comprehensive protection for your investment.

Rodents + Soy-Based Wiring = Costly Repairs

Mice are chewing wiring covers more often because auto manufacturers have switched from using petroleum-based plastic to soy-based plastics as they meet the demand for cleaner, greener manufacturing processes. In 2016, a lawsuit filed against Honda claimed the soy-based wiring was irresistible to rabbits. Later that year, a similar lawsuit was filed against Toyota. In July 2017, both Hyundai and Kia were sued for using soy wiring.

In each case, the automaker was accused of concealing the problem and/or refusing to fix the issue under warranty.  However, regardless of whether wires are covered in soy-based materials, it’s a fact that rodents are drawn to them. RV, Boats, and car owners alike have wrestled with this issue for years.

The damage caused by rodents can result in costly repairs. These repairs typically aren’t covered by your car’s warranty. Protecting your vehicle with NHOU Mouse Out is your best line of defense against rodents causing extensive, costly damage to your vehicle.

Rodents Nesting Inside Your HVAC Unit?

An air conditioner is a perfect place for a mouse because the air ducts contain materials they can use to build suitable nests. They will chew on whatever they can find. When they begin to feast on HVAC electrical wiring, your home’s safety is compromised. Chewing through a wire can lead to an electrical fire and a damaged HVAC system. When rodents find their way into your ductwork and make nests or leave droppings behind, tiny fecal spores are swept along by the force of heated and cooled air moving through the ducts. These spores make their way into your home and contaminate the air quality.

To Avoid Expensive Repairs, Prevention is Key

At NHOU®, we specialize in solving problems. Over the years, we had heard numerous stories from our customers that after having their vehicle coated with NHOU Oil Undercoating®, their rodent problem disappeared. Just like eliminating annoying squeaks and preventing undercarriage-stored spare tires from becoming rusted in place, repelling rodents was a beneficial byproduct of our oil-based rustproofing system. Since then, we’ve focused on improving the rodent-repelling properties by adding peppermint essential oil and predator scent undetectable by humans.

Lab-Tested and Unbeaten

After adding essential peppermint oil and predator scent, we sent our Mouse-Out formula to a third-party laboratory for testing. As we suspected, despite it smelling nice to humans, rodents steer clear. This multi-pronged approach (taste, scent, touch and predatory fear) towards combating rodent damage to your RV, boat or automobile will make a formidable defense and create an unpleasant and inhabitable environment. Now, as a byproduct of combating rodents, you’ll have the added benefit of protecting your vehicle from corrosion.
