NHOU® FLEET LIFE EXTENSION PROGRAM

PROTECT THE FLEET.
PROTECT THE BUDGET.

Towns are spending hundreds of thousands on equipment that corrodes before it should. NHOU helps municipalities and public fleets put a real program around protecting those assets — so the equipment lasts longer, budgets stretch further, and taxpayers get more value from every dollar spent.

THE REAL COST OF CORROSION

YOUR EQUIPMENT IS AGING FASTER THAN IT SHOULD.

Mechanics watch it happen every season. Salt and brine eat through undercarriages, seize hydraulic fittings, corrode wiring harnesses, and cause premature failure on trucks, plows, and equipment that should have years of service life left.

The result goes beyond surface rust. Failed electrical connections, seized components, corroded hydraulic systems, and deteriorating frames — these are the repair line items that quietly drain maintenance budgets long before equipment reaches end of life.

Most towns know preventive maintenance would help. The challenge is manpower, scheduling, lack of a documented program, and the plain reality that nobody has formalized a process around it.

Think about what one additional year of useful service life could mean to your town. You know what your equipment costs. Extending a replacement cycle — even by one year — changes the capital budget conversation. And the case for doing it starts with a free training session.

What's one more year worth?

The cost argument your budget committee understands

Think about what one additional year of useful service life could mean to your town. You know your equipment costs — you do the math.

Deferred replacements add up fast.

Every year of extended service life is a budget win

Preventive corrosion protection costs a fraction of unplanned repairs or early equipment replacement — and the program pays for itself.

$0

Cost to start a protection program

NHOU’s training, products, and demonstrations are provided at no cost — and the program protects more than just the frame. Wiring, hydraulics, electrical connections, and moving parts all benefit from annual treatment.

THE PROGRAM

A REAL PROGRAM.
NOT JUST A PRODUCT.

Fleet Life Extension isn't a one-time treatment — it's an annual program your crew can own and sustain. Protection is most effective when it's applied consistently, season after season. Here's how it works.
1

ASSESS THE FLEET

We start by understanding your equipment, your exposure conditions, your current maintenance practices, and where the biggest protection gaps are.

3

TRAIN THE CREW

Free on-site training puts your team in control. We demonstrate proper prep, application techniques, and product selection — hands-on, at your facility.

2

PREVENT CORROSION

Apply the right NHOU® products to the right surfaces at the right time — before rust starts, not after. Proper prep and application make the difference.

4

MAINTAIN IT ANNUALLY

Protection works best when it’s reapplied each year. We help you build an annual treatment schedule — simple enough to put in your budget, consistent enough to make a real difference over time.

Coming Soon: My Steward Registry

We’re building a VIN-linked record system for municipal fleets — inspections, treatments, photos, and maintenance history tied to each individual vehicle. The goal is simple: give towns a verifiable, documented record of how taxpayer-owned equipment is being cared for. The Fleet Life Extension program is already structured to support it when it’s ready.

6

LUNCH ON US

We’ll even feed your crew. It’s part of the deal — because good training deserves a good meal.

HOW A SESSION WORKS

Two Ways We Can Help

Train your crew to do it themselves — we come on-site, demonstrate proper prep and application, and leave your team fully equipped to run the program independently.

Don’t have the manpower? We can connect you with a trained NHOU applicator who can service your fleet directly — so you get the protection without putting it on your crew.

REAL MUNICIPALITIES. REAL RESULTS.

TRUSTED BY THE TOWNS
THAT USE IT MOST.

We believe real people, real towns, and real experiences tell the story better than anything we could write. Here's what we're hearing from the fleet managers and public works directors we've worked with.
concord nh
“We’ve been using NHOU products for close to a decade. At the end of the season, we decontaminate our plow trucks, sanders and other equipment with NHOU Salt Brine Eliminator and then treat them with oil before putting them away. We’ve seen a considerable reduction in corrosion and the maintenance that goes along with it. It has become an important part of how we take care of our equipment.”
Joe Public Works, City of Concord, NH
nhou team fleet
bedford
“Bedford has worked with NHOU for many years, and over that time we’ve had the opportunity to try different products and application methods on equipment operating in a real municipal environment. That experience has helped us determine what works best for different applications and build corrosion prevention into the way we maintain our fleet.”

COMMUNITY

MUNICIPAL FLEET EXCHANGE

Managing a public fleet is a job most people do in isolation — making decisions, solving problems, and figuring things out on their own. It doesn't have to be that way.

We're building a private community where public fleet professionals can talk openly with peers from other towns and departments — sharing what's working, what isn't, and what they've tried.

PEER-TO-PEER KNOWLEDGE

What products have other towns tried? What maintenance routines are working? Real answers from real fleet managers.

REAL PROBLEMS, REAL TALK

Corrosion, wash schedules, staffing shortages, downtime, budget cycles — bring the problems your town is actually dealing with and hear how others have handled them.

SHARE PROBLEMS, NOT JUST SOLUTIONS

Corrosion, budgets, scheduling, staffing, procurement — if you’re dealing with it, someone else probably is too.

HOW LONG DOES A TRAINING SESSION TYPICALLY LAST?

Sessions typically run between 3–5 hours including demonstrations, hands-on time, Q&A, and a break for lunch. We’ll share a detailed itinerary when we confirm your session so your team can plan accordingly.

DO WE NEED TO HAVE VEHICLES READY FOR DEMONSTRATION?

Having a vehicle or piece of equipment available is helpful but not required. We can conduct demonstrations on vehicles from your fleet or use our own training materials. We’ll discuss this during the planning phase to set expectations for both sides.

IS THERE ANY OBLIGATION TO BUY NHOU PRODUCTS AFTERWARD?

Absolutely not. Our goal is to educate your team on proper corrosion prevention — full stop. There are no sales requirements, no quotas, and no pressure of any kind. If your organization decides to use NHOU products in the future, great. If not, we hope the knowledge helps your fleet regardless.
