NHOU® RUSTORATION® RUST CONVERTER & PREP
NHOU® Rust converter is a rust-inhibiting coating that converts rusted metal in 20 minutes into a rust retarding, paintable surface. When applied to rusted surfaces, iron oxide (rust) is chemically changed to iron phosphate, an inert, hard substance that turns the metal black. This increases the paint adhesion and durability of the coating. covers up to 500 sq. ft. per gallon.
NHOU® Rust converter was engineered and designed to work specifically in conjunction with our oil-based rustproofing products.
Unlike conventional rust converters, this rust converter has no polymers or sealers to prevent oil from seeping through the rusty surfaces to the base metal. This is important because our oil is designed to displace moisture and remove oxygen.
