BOSS WAX® is a fast-curing, powerful, heavy-duty rust inhibitor, professionally applied to the undercarriage of new vehicles to provide lifetime protection against corrosion. You can wash your vehicle immediately after the treatment. (avoid high-pressure undercarriage washing) Unlike other preventing methods, it will not trap moisture. It literally pushes it away, leaving behind a corrosion-fighting lubricating film.
Absolutely not! Because NH Oil Undercoating® is an entirely different approach, it eliminates annoying electrical malfunctions and makes the vehicle work better and last longer. While the manufacturers probably won’t admit it, they just have to love NH Oil Undercoating® because it will reduce the number of corrosion related warranty claims they are obligated to pay. It also saves customers the time and aggravation associated with claims against warranties. NH Oil Undercoating is used and sold by most major manufacturers dealerships.
Check with your dealer, each shop is independently owned and operated. In most cases, if your vehicle arrives with a heavy residue of mud, flaky rust it would be necessary to wash/remove before treatment. We recommend that any heavy accumulation of mud and dirt be pressure washed from the frame and wheel wells a day prior to the application. Note, arrangements may be necessary to allow adequate time for preparation and additional costs may occur.
NHOU is atomized under high pressure which pushes the product deep into the seams, cracks and crevices where corrosion starts. Once applied, the product removes the moisture in these areas and provides a strong adherence to these surfaces, remaining active with excellent “creeping” and self-healing abilities.
While driving habits may vary, we recommend an annual application in order to maintain adequate protection.
When NH BOSS Wax is fully cured, it presents a non-tacky, extremely durable, and almost “elegant” black coating that will withstand the harshest environmental conditions.

DIRECTIONS:
- Apply only to new vehicles—the surface must be dry, clean, and completely rust-free
- If undercarriage has been exposed to road salt or liquid de-icing materials, wash with NHOU® Salt-Brine Eliminator™ (NHOU® Part #NHSB-1) and allow drying overnight
- Remove any grease from undercarriage using denatured alcohol and a clean cloth
- Use aluminum foil, kraft paper, or drop cloth to avoid overspray on glass, painted surfaces, exhaust, electrical connectors, and fan belts
- Apply with an undercoating gun (NHOU® Part #7659) in a well-ventilated area, using an organic vapor air-purifying respirator
- Spray on all exposed surfaces achieving 100% coverage with a minimum of two passes
- At 70° F, the surface will be dry to the touch in 1 hour (overspray coverings may be removed), and fully cured in 4 hours
- After NHOU® Boss Wax™ has cured, apply NHOU® Clear Oil Undercoating to all cavities—avoiding exhaust system and rubber weather-stripping
- Clean equipment by circulating water through the spray gun and using a mild detergent on the vehicle’s painted surfaces
- 24-month inspections should be performed—reapplying NHOU® Boss Wax™ to any breaches in the surface, and spraying NHOU® Clear Oil Undercoating in all cavities
