The prep step before undercoating. NHOU® Salt-Brine Eliminator is engineered to break down the sticky additives in modern road brines and remove magnesium, calcium and sodium chloride salts from your undercarriage, without a brush, so NHOU® protection goes onto a clean surface.

Convert the Rust, Then Seal It
Undercoating protects metal, but heavily rusted surfaces need treatment first. NHOU® Rustoration® doesn’t just cover rust, it transforms it, converting it into a white, etched zinc phosphate surface in about 30 minutes.
That converted surface gives NHOU® Oil Undercoating a solid foundation to penetrate and seal out oxygen and moisture.

How to Use It
Prep
Remove loose rust and paint flakes with a wire brush or sanding. Grind or sandblast if necessary.
Clean
Remove grease, oil and dirt with a water-based cleaner.
Apply
Spray from the bottle, or pour into a non-metallic container and use a conventional spray gun at 40–45 psi. Don’t pour unused material back into the bottle.
Check
The surface turns white and ash-like in about 20 minutes. If areas aren’t converted after 20–30 minutes, reapply to the dry surface and wait another 20–30 minutes.
Wipe and seal
Wipe off the chalky residue with a damp cloth or light scuff pad. Let it dry completely, then apply NHOU® undercoating (at 70°F) within 4–8 hours.
Note: Sand galvanized steel with medium or fine-grit sandpaper first. Clean spray equipment with water.
Warning: Corrosive
Causes severe eye and skin burns. Harmful if swallowed or inhaled. Keep out of reach of children.
- Use only outdoors or with good ventilation, and don’t breathe mist or vapors.
- Wear goggles or a face shield, acid-resistant gloves, long sleeves and pants, and closed shoes. Use a respirator if ventilation is poor.
- Store closed in a cool, dry place, away from bleach and alkalis. Dispose of per local regulations.
First aid: Eyes: rinse for 15 minutes and get medical help. Skin: rinse with water and remove contaminated clothing. Inhaled: move to fresh air. Swallowed: do not induce vomiting; rinse mouth and get help.
